‘The Waiting List’ ⮕
The Waiting List project, led by Dr JC Niala in collaboration with Greenpeace, creatively addresses the climate crisis and the impact of the industrial food system through a large-scale artwork embodying the Allotment Act of 1908's Section 23. This activist initiative not only highlights the plight of the 174,183 individuals on waiting lists for allotments but also led to real-world action with the physical reclamation of land in Liverpool, demonstrating the project's transformative impact and the potential for community-driven solutions.
